Credit Risk Control
Responsibilities:
- Assesses the effectiveness of credit risk management at Citi and the ability of the Business and Independent Risk to identify, monitor and mitigate current and emerging credit risks across Citigroup and Citibank.
- Identifies and analyzes situations that create risk for Citi, utilizing various resources such as credit reports, scorecards risk systems, and knowledge of the elements of Risk.
- Makes judgments and recommendations based on analysis and specialty area knowledge.
- Researches and interprets factual information.
- Identifies inconsistencies in data or results, defines business issues and formulates recommendations.
- Work autonomously with limited oversight and have excellent ability to build relationships and communication skills as the job requires extensive interaction with internal colleagues.
- Involved in efforts to address the most topical issues in risk management, and the unique opportunity to observe and learn the dynamics of bank-wide credit exposures.
- Prepares presentations to meet internal and Regulatory needs
- Assists the Office of the Chief Operating Officer in special projects
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 0-2 years previous credit experience preferred
- Experience with similar data management tasks in a large office setting.
- The candidate must be detail oriented, be able to interpret, follow strict rules and procedures and be able to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in the use of computers to include MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, and the ability to learn and use various proprietary in-house systems including web based programs and the like.
- Excellent ability to build relationships skills with the interest to take initiative and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Work experience in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Computer Science or similar preferred
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
