Mine Engineer (EMELTE) – Regional/National
Purpose of the Role:
To produce mine planning, production scheduling, high quality design, projects development and monitoring the implementation to support the overall success of meeting the department objectives.
Accountabilities:
- Ensure compliance to environmental, safety procedures, standards and policies.
- Provide schedulling for entire life of mine for the project (establish assumptions to be used for mine planning, pit optimization, production scheduling optimization, digging sequences, ore blending strategy, equipment requirement, mine Opex, Mine Capex, RKAB) based on the process plants ore feed requirements
- Provide and develop mine plan for bulk sampling test to support mine study and provide quarterly forecast as per integrated Business Plan requirement meet the target to ensure reliable production.
- Provide and communicate with contractor for execution of new mine project development (access road, dyke, disposal, quarry) on schedule, cost effective spending and provide the solution to prevent the risk which may impact to production target achievement.
- Liase with other section to ensure the execution of the plan is comply to PTVI safety standards and meet the overall PTVI production target.
- Provide and develop master hill plan
- To establish mine technology and innovation improvement to sustain business productivity and reducing mine operational cost.
- To establish new concepts/techniques and develop FEL of R&D capital/sustaining capital related improvement in mines area in order to comply to all procedures, standards and safety.
- Provide tasks and reports requested by Supervisor.
Technical Specializations:
- Understand nickel laterite formation, profile and ore characteristics.
- Production Scheduling, ore blending, equipment calculation.
- Experience for development of business cases, FEL studies, financial evaluation, etc.
- Advanced the logic of mine plan process, mine plan sequences and project management.
- Advanced in computer software – Microsoft Office, Mine Design Software such as Vulcan or Surpac, Mine Scheduling software such as Whittle, MineSched, Minemax, and Microsoft Project.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree (S1) in Mining Engineering with minimum GPA 3.0
- 5 – 8 years working experience in Mine Planning, at least the last 3 years in mine schedulling
- First Operational Supervisor Certification (Pengawas Operasional Pratama) is mandatory
- Good communication, presentation and fluent in English both written and verbal
- Willing to be placed in all sites PT. Vale Indonesia, Tbk.
